Adult problems like divorce, domestic violence, and substance abuse unfairly impact the lives of children.
After all, it’s hard to be a care-free kid when surrounded by fear, anger, stress, or neglect. When that’s what childhood looks like, it’s no wonder children struggle to make sense of it all.

Family Visitation Center opened in September 2000 as a program of Avera McKennan to provide supervised visitation services to children and their families.
An average of 140 families access Family Visitation Center’s supervised visit and exchange services each month.
Over the years, over 4,000 children have benefited from having a safe place to meet and create memories with their families.
